Dr. Tania Medina entered the School of Medicine at the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC) in 2001, where she graduated with the highest honors obtaining the title of “Doctor of Medicine” summa cum laude.

She completed an internship and got prepared for the National Medical Residence competition at Dr. Salvador Gaultier Hospital, where she stood out with the highest qualification ever obtained by any contestant in the competition up to that time. She graduated as an aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon at the prestigious National Residence of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at Dr. Salvador Gautier Hospital, where she was also recognized by the Department of Teaching and Scientific Research and the Medical College, as one of the best students in her years as a resident specialist.

Dr. Medina has made many international rotations, one of the most prominent was the Lip and Palate Clinic in Michoacán, Mexico, at the Children’s Hospital of Morelia. There she was trained in the treatment of pediatric facial anomalies and learned to return the smiles to children with these difficulties. In the United States, she attended in rotation at the Peck Center, with the help of Dr. George Peck, a renowned surgeon of nasal cosmetic surgery (rhinoplasty) techniques, to obtain this knowledge and facilitate it in our country. She has also completed multiple courses of massive weight loss surgery (post-bariatric), since these cases require special handling.

She is a member of the Dominican Medical Association and a candidate member of the Dominican Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (SODOCIPRE). She is also part of the Staff of National Private Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, Reconstructive and Dr. Ivanhoe Báez; and from the Department of Plastic Surgery Hospital Dr. Salvador B. Gautier.

Today, doctor Medina works as a plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon in her post-bariatric reconstruction, at the Center for Plastic Surgery and Liposuction (CECILIP), located at Luis Amiama Tió Street (Camino Chiquito) No. 60, Arroyo Hondo, Santo Domingo.
